This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the ProPushUp mobile application and its associated services, including the web portal located at https://propushup.brainfleck.app (collectively, the “Services”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, as well as to personalize your fitness journey. The types of data we collect include:

A. Personal Information You Provide

Account Registration Data: When you create an account, register via email, or log in using Google Sign-In, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture URL (if using Google Sign-In).
Onboarding and Profile Details: To customize your daily pushup goals and estimate calorie burns, you may optionally provide:
- Gender (male, female)
- Weight (in kilograms)
- Country
- Daily workout goals (e.g., target number of reps)

Note: You may choose to use the App in “Guest Mode” (anonymous login). In Guest Mode, we do not require your email address or link your usage to a personal account.

B. Workout and Session Data

Workout History: Every pushup session you complete records data including:
- Total reps completed and target reps
- Workout duration (in seconds)
- Session mode (e.g., free-play, timed challenge, workout guides)
- Timestamp and epoch time of the session
- Form alignment and posture scores (derived locally from on-device ML analysis)
Social & Interactive Data: If you participate in live Pushup Battles (1v1) or Live Group Workouts, we sync your real-time rep count, user identifier, and username to other players in the session.

C. Technical and Device Data

Device Identifiers: We collect analytics identifiers (e.g., Firebase Installation IDs), push notification tokens (OneSignal), and advertising identifiers (AdMob).
Usage Statistics: Log events relating to screens visited, features accessed, buttons clicked, and general app interaction.
Performance and Diagnostics: We collect crash logs, stack traces, and device hardware specifications (e.g., OS version, device model) to maintain stability.

2. On-Device Pose Estimation & Camera Access (Critical Privacy Statement)

ProPushUp includes an advanced real-time pushup counter and posture analyzer. To use this feature, the App requests permission to access your device’s camera.

CAMERA PRIVACY ASSURANCE

100% On-Device Processing: All image frames, camera feeds, and video feeds are processed entirely on your local device in real-time using Google ML Kit Pose Detection.
No Transmission or Storage: We never record, stream, save, upload, or transmit any video feed, images, or raw facial/body captures to our servers, Google, or any third party.
Landmark Analysis Only: The algorithm extracts abstract numerical coordinates (landmarks) to calculate joint angles and count reps. This mathematical data is discarded immediately after processing each frame.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

Core Services: To count your pushups, evaluate your workout posture, display progress history, and manage daily goals.
Cloud Synchronization: For active Premium Subscribers, we back up your local workout sessions and profile preferences to our secure backend database (https://propushup.brainfleck.app) so you can access your workout history across multiple devices.
Social and Multiplayer Features: To power multiplayer Pushup Battles and Group Workouts, ensuring your real-time counts are synchronized with your friends/opponents via Firebase Firestore.
Leaderboard and Ranks: If enabled in your settings (opt-in/opt-out), we display your username, country flag, and total pushup counts on the global leaderboard.
Analytics & Optimization: To understand how our app is used, identify bottlenecks, optimize user experience, and monitor application health (Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics).
Advertisements: To deliver non-personalized or personalized ads (via Google AdMob) depending on your user preferences and consent choices.
Push Notifications: To send reminders, challenge invites, and daily pushup alerts via OneSignal.
Purchase Management: To process and verify subscriptions and in-app purchases using secure verification APIs.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Syncing

A. Local Storage (Device)

By default, all workout sessions, streaks, custom configurations, and settings are saved locally on your device in an SQLite database powered by Floor database and SharedPreferences. This database persists even when you are offline.

B. Cloud Storage (Server)

If you register a premium account, your profile metadata and session logs are synced via SSL/HTTPS to our main MySQL backend hosted at:https://propushup.brainfleck.app

Real-time active challenge metrics (such as a 1v1 battle session) are processed in real-time through Google Firebase Firestore and are discarded or archived when the battle completes.

C. Data Retention Period

We retain your personal and sync data for as long as you maintain an active account with us. We automatically prune temporary or log data when no longer needed.

If you choose to delete your account, all associated information will be permanently deleted from our primary servers.

5. Account Deletion & Data Deletion Rights

You have complete control over your data. If you wish to delete your account and remove all personal information associated with ProPushUp, you can do so directly from within the app.

How to Delete Your Account:

Open the App and go to the Profile screen.
Tap on your Account Settings (or the Edit Profile menu).
Scroll down to the bottom and select Delete Account.
Confirm your decision.

Technical Process of Deletion:

Upon triggering the deletion:

The App sends a secure DELETE request to our backend server: /api/users/delete/{id}
All your personal information, credentials, email address, synced workout sessions, and historical records are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our live servers and databases.
The App performs a full cache and data wipe locally on your mobile device, deleting the SQLite file and all local SharedPreferences parameters.
Your analytics identifier will be dissociated, and your active device token will be unregistered from OneSignal.

Note: If you have an active App Store or Google Play Store subscription, you must cancel it directly in your App Store settings to prevent automated billing. Deleting your account in-app does not automatically cancel platform subscriptions.

6. Third-Party Services & Integrations

To deliver modern app capabilities, we integrate several third-party software development kits (SDKs). These providers process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies:

Google Play Services / Apple App Store: Handles the licensing and verification of In-App Purchases and Subscriptions.
Google Sign-In: Allows secure account sign-up and authentication.

7. Cookies and Local Storage Technologies

A. Mobile Application

The ProPushUp mobile application does not use web browser “cookies.” Instead, it uses equivalent mobile storage frameworks:

SQLite Database (Floor): Stores session records, total reps, and history profiles locally.
SharedPreferences: Stores basic configurations, daily targets, selected language, theme preference (light/dark), and authentication tokens.

B. Web Services & Web Portal

If you visit our landing pages or web dashboard (https://propushup.brainfleck.app):

We may use cookies or browser session storage to keep you logged in, remember language choices, or secure form submissions.
Third-party components (such as Google Adsense or analytics widgets on the website) may write cookies to your browser to collect anonymous traffic patterns and display personalized content.
You can configure your browser to reject cookies, though some features of our site may not function properly as a result.

8. Data Security

We implement rigorous technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction.

All communications between the App client and our backend API (propushup.brainfleck.app) are encrypted in transit using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS).
We utilize robust hashing algorithms to secure authentication states and tokens.
Access to our backend servers is restricted to authorized operations only, with strict network firewalls and credential isolation in place.

Depending on your region, you have rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar global standards:

Right to Access: You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can edit your username, country, weight, gender, and daily goals directly in your Profile screen.
Right to Portability: You can sync your data to multiple devices.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can instantly request full erasure of your account and records by selecting the “Delete Account” button within the App’s Profile settings.
Right to Opt-Out of Leaderboard: If you do not want your username and score shown publicly on the global leaderboard, you can toggle off the “Show on Leaderboard” option in your Profile or Settings screen at any time.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not designed or intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has registered for an account and provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete that information from our systems.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or new features.

When updates are published, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.

For material changes, we may notify you via push notification, an in-app prompt, or a message displayed on our website before the change takes effect.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your data.
